Say what?
I wanted to jot down the many random thoughts or moments that we experience with Jake. He says and does so many different things that make you say, what???. So to not forget them, I have dedicated this page for all those Say What? moments...
Age 2
Jake: Mommy, where'd my peepee go (as he sits on the toilet, legs closed)
Me: I don't know Jake, where is it?
Jake: (Opening his legs) Oh, there it is!
Jake loves stairs, and we have taught him that when he is going down, he must sit on his bottom to go down. Today, as he stands up on the very last step, he raises his arms (like a YES! moment) and shouts, "Jesus loves me!".
Age 3
(Jake stroking Daddy's forehead during prayers)
Me: Jake, what are you doing?
Jake: I'm touching Daddy's stripes
Me: (laughing so hard, tears running down my face)
Daddy: (not so much) :)
Jake enjoys playing "Pastor"
Jake: Hello everyone, welcome. Let's begin in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Jake calling me from the bathroom...
Jake: Mommy, I'm finished!
Me: What is on your hands??!!
Jake: It wouldn't come out
Me: (Gagging) Please do not put your hands on your poop, we don't do that AT ALL!
Jake asks me where his things are like this...
"Mommy, have you ever seen my car?"
"Mommy, have you ever seen my shoe?"
I knew this day would come, but boy I was not expecting it this soon...
Jake (screaming): Momma...come here, hurry!
Me: (frantic, running to him) What! What's wrong???!!!
Jake (sitting on potty): I can move my peepee up and down
Me (calm, trying to NOT draw attention): Ok, don't forget to wipe.
Alone, I could not help but LOL! I am trying not to react negative nor positive and stay neutral so that he doesn't think it's a big deal, or joke, or something bad. Life as a mommy to a boy! Oy!
Jake has a funny way of saying "Seriously!" followed by a fake little laugh! It makes us laugh all the time.
One weekend, Jake spent the night with his Tita. He looked up at her, touched her face and said "I am so thankful for you!" Brought tears to her eyes and mine. I love his special bond with her.
Jake started reading at age 3...it amazes us that now he reads bedtime stories to us!
Jake grabs Woody and tells him "We are about to see your movie Woody!"
Age 4
Us: Jake, you need to make caca?
Jake: Yes, but not yet.
Us: What are you waiting for?
Jake" Well, I have to wait until it's about to come out of my butt.
Us: Go now please.
Sigh**
What the headache?
