Proud and moving on
What a day of emotions yesterday, Superbowl Sunday!
The outcome is not what I wanted, but I am so proud of my Pats and their hard work and dedication. They fought to the very last second!! Congrats to the other team, it was a hard fought game.
That said, very surprised by so many haters. I mean, I know I am a hardcore fan...but I would never talk so mean to people. Wow! But I thank the good Lord for peace in my heart. My daily devotion yesterday was about guarding your heart and learning to control your emotions, words, and outlook in life. Your attitude is what determines your everyday happenings, such as discussions, confrontations, stressful situations. You can either fall apart, or respond in a negative way...or you can brush it off and remember the peace that God graciously gives us. I was very close to responding to a hateful comment, but I instead replied graciously.
The hubs and I had so much fun preparing our delicious snacks!! We had clam chowder from Skinnytaste, and it was so YUMMY!! I am totally a fan and highly, highly recommend. As you can tell from the picture, we added a little bacon for extra crisp (not on the original recipe). Diet begins...NOW! :)
And from Skinnytaste, we also made these mozzarella sticks...delish!
We also made super yummy chili from The Pioneer Woman and can I just say it was so much fun!! Her instructions are so amazingly easy follow along...and the pictures, gorgeous! Here's my photo...no where near as wonderful as hers, but wanted to share my expierence :)
Pretty fun eating at our household. What kind of treats did you have at your home??
Proud of my team, what a great season played with lots of heart for MHK, and now our household is moving on to baseball! Go Rangers :)
