what a day!

Have I mentioned I am a preschool teacher?  Yep, this is my second year and I have been so blessed with beautiful and sweet children.  We are preparing for our Valentine's Celebration this coming Monday...so we were super, super busy!! 


We started the day with Book Cooks.  This was a fun idea I learned from our LCMS teacher conference last year.  You have parents sign up, they come in on a date selected, and read the children a book (selected by theme, letter of the week).  Wait!  That's not all...they also bring a treat that goes along with the book and have the children help 'prepare' it.  Today, our book was The Best Thing about Valentines.  The kids are so attentive, and our mommy/child have the best of times!!  This mommy brought Jell-o jigglers, (I have forgotten what a great treat this is) and heart-shaped cookie cutters.

We then went on to decorate our Valentines boxes and work on our parents gifts (not sharing yet, you never know if a mommy will peek).  We just have a blast with these young ones.  So thankful that God has placed me in this role and pray that I have a positive impact on these sweeties.  There are ups and downs, but way more ups and I feel so rewarded when one of them hugs me and tells me they love me.
